MIRA is a search and retrieval tool for the Australian STI Management Guidelines, made by ASHM
for health professionals.
What it does. You ask in plain language; MIRA finds the
guideline passages that look most relevant, quotes them, and links back to the source so you can
read them in context and check each point.
What it is not. MIRA is not a decision-support system
and does not give patient-specific advice. The guidelines make the recommendations; MIRA shows
where. It does not replace clinical judgement.
Scope. STI and BBV testing, diagnosis, management,
follow-up and contact tracing as covered by the ASHM STI Management Guidelines. Questions outside
the guidelines are declined.
Privacy. Queries are processed to generate the answer
and recorded for quality and safety review. Do not enter patient-identifying information.
Source. ASHM STI Management Guidelines.
Every answer lists its sources; confirm against the cited guideline.
